Michelle DeAngelis is an accomplished and versatile musician whose career reflects a rare combination of classical training, live performance experience, theater, sacred music, recording, songwriting, and vocal artistry. With a foundation in piano and pipe organ, DeAngelis studied organ under Stephen Knoblock at Most Holy Trinity in Yonkers and Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Elmsford, New York, as well as with Marc Pacoe at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini. That early training established the technical and musical foundation that would shape her professional career.
A FOUNDATION IN SACRED MUSIC
From 2004 through 2011, DeAngelis served as a vocalist and pipe organist at Most Holy Trinity, performing three services each week under the direction of Stephen Knoblock.
Her responsibilities went well beyond playing the organ. She vocally led parishioners in singing hymns, participated in bi-yearly orchestral concerts, and performed for funerals. These years provided DeAngelis with extensive experience performing for live audiences while developing the ability to balance instrumental performance with vocal leadership.
In 2011, she continued her professional journey at St. Aedan in Pearl River, New York, where she remained through 2019. There, she served as a vocalist and pipe organist, performing three or more services per week under the direction of former Metropolitan Opera/City Opera vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Matthew Suripine.
Her work included yearly parish concerts, serving as organist for the installation of Father Ryan A. Muldoon, accompanying children's and adult choirs, and providing music for weddings and funerals. She also worked as a substitute organist and cantor and taught music to students in grades K–8.
Her musical experience expanded beyond those settings as well. At the Church of God of Prophecy in Brooklyn, DeAngelis served as a choral accompanist for a Bushwick Mass Choir anniversary performance, appeared as a solo vocalist for a Praise Festival, and performed for a Pastor Appreciation event. At St. Ann's in Yonkers, she performed as a solo vocalist for the installation of Father Carmine Rita.
These experiences helped establish DeAngelis as a musician capable of moving comfortably between different musical traditions, audiences, and performance environments.
THE NEXT CHAPTER: RECORDING ARTIST AND SONGWRITER
While sacred music remained an important part of her foundation, DeAngelis continued expanding her artistic identity.
Beginning in 2023, she moved further into recording, songwriting, studio work, and original music. She has written and performed two full EPs, released in 2023 and 2024, produced by nine-time Grammy Award winner Majik Reed.
She has also written and performed two singles produced by Grammy Award winner Daniel Flam, whose professional background includes work associated with the Israel Philharmonic.
Among her original material is “Alone,” recorded by Joe Mennonna, a multi-instrumentalist and Grammy Award-winning musician. DeAngelis has also contributed keyboards and vocals in recording work with Kevin Kwiz Ryan, a producer and engineer associated with Beyoncé's work. Her recording résumé further includes pianist recording work involving Grammy Award-winning violinist Eileen Ivers.
This chapter of her career demonstrates that DeAngelis is not defined by one instrument or one role. She operates across multiple sides of the creative process—as a vocalist, pianist, songwriter, arranger, accompanist, and recording artist.

She has also performed as an opening act for Deborah Cox during a Pride Parade, adding another notable live-performance credit to her growing body of work.
