The 24 year-old independent singer/song writer is looking to re-define the status quo of the female–LGBTQ artist & is here on a mission to take genres & put her own SPIN on things.
The Queens native comes into the game with a very diverse/unique style sense. She sets a precedent when it comes to this, with a semi feminine-masculine taste, a hint of edge & "Aaliyah" like tomboy flow to it.
The artist had music & poetry in her blood from as early as 9 years young, when she wrote her first rap. Determined to become a music legend, she expands into R&B, Soul, Freestyle & Dance. “I started off rapping & then began to sing my raps melodically”. Yashea began to rec covers of songs like “You vs. Them” by Jhene Aiko, "With You" by Chris Brown & her very own songs. “Slow grinds are better than no grinds, either way I’m in gear," living by those words, she began harnessing her craft in recording studios at 19 in NYC & Miami. From there, she met a lot of engineers, producers & networked. This lead to studio invites with well known recording engineers. Singing/writing became the secret weapon, as Yashea would find solitude in writing her own music, catapulting her into the artist she is today!
Her HIT single, "FEEL IT" went from being heard throughout clubs in the tri-state area of NYC, to Florida, all the way to Dubai, & so many more places! "FEEL IT" debuted on RADIO airwaves such as "HOT 97" by famous disk jockeys, beginning with DJ CAMILO with NO MAJOR MARKETING PROMOTIONS!
