Jacque Jones SR was born January 28, 1997 in Chesapeake, Virginia. Jacque fell in love with music while attending a local Boys and Girls Club. At the age of 6, With the help of his godfather, Righteous, he began the journey of becoming a music artist. The name “Lil Myst” was given by his godfather because everything he rapped or sung about was a mystery. Later, he released his first single called “My Scooter” . By the age of 13, Lil Myst became a member of a group called More Than Music (MTM) where he traveled the east coast. More Than Music was known in various cities and gained popularity rapidly. MTM had many hit singles from “Turnt up”, “Mess up your makeup”, “Quicker”, and “Doing our job”. Eventually, More Than Music went their separate ways and each member went solo. In 2014, Jacque gained ownership of MTM and established More Than Music Entertainment, LLC. His company thrived in the 757 area when he signed two tremendous artists who quickly brought success and a new style of entertainment. In 2016, MTM Entertainment changed its name to REAL (Revolutionizing, Evolving, And Living) Entertainment. REAL Entertainment began working with local artists and companies to expand its network. During this time, Jacque worked on his mixtape “No other way” and changed his artist name to Jay 28. “No other way mixtape was a sample of how my album was going to be and to see if my fans were still there” said Jay 28. On January 28, 2019, Jay 28 released his album and it became the most views and downloads he ever had. “Out my mind” and “Next to you” were number 1 on his top songs on all major music streams. Becoming inspired by his recent album, Jay 28 released an EP “Thoughts Of Royalty” with an exclusive promo “Ivory”. Followed by releasing “Thoughts Of Royalty”, his EP number 1 were “ ‘95 and Reckless”. After indulging into new business ventures, Jacque signed a new partnership with a new podcast “Unfiltered” and a new clothing line “Promise Profit”. In 2020, he released a new single titled “Slide” alongside a video for the track. As he strengthened his talent, he began learning music production, videography, and photography. In August 2020, he created “4ever Paid Productions”. His business adventures grew while he traveled up and down the east coast working with local artists. In January 2021, Jay 28 released another single “Somebody” which peaked to his top 10 song after releasing the official video. On July 16, 2021, he released “Forgive My Silence”, surpassing “Thoughts of Royalty” and “No Other Way”. “Forgive My Silence” album has four top songs within a week of release which are “Forgive My Silence”, “Apologize”, “Cold World”, and “Jealousy”.
